The ARP Omni is a polyphonic analog synthesizer manufactured by ARP Instruments from 1975 to 1981. It was used by a variety of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, and Kraftwerk.
The ARP Omni works by generating sound waves using voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs). These oscillators are then routed through a voltage-controlled filter (VCF) and an amplifier (VCA) to create the desired sound. The Omni also features a built-in arpeggiator, which allows the user to create complex patterns and sequences. Additionally, the Omni has a built-in chorus effect, which adds a lush, full sound to the synthesizer.
