ARP String Ensemble is a virtual instrument developed by Arturia. It is a recreation of the classic ARP String Synthesizer from the 1970s. It is a polyphonic string synthesizer that uses a combination of subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation to create its unique sound. It features a wide range of parameters, including a four-voice polyphony, two oscillators, two LFOs, two envelopes, and a built-in chorus effect. It also includes a range of presets and a step sequencer for creating complex patterns. Artists such as Herbie Hancock, Kraftwerk, and Jean-Michel Jarre have used the ARP String Ensemble in their music.
