A multitimbral synthesizer with 8-note polyphony and 61 velocity sensitive keys. Originally released by Ensoniq in 1985. Oscillators are operated by a custom Ensoniq wavetable chip and remaining signal path is analog with resonant filters. Includes an eight-track MIDI sequencer with quantization, step-editing, copy-paste and external MIDI synchronization. Provides 40 internal presets and an expansion cartridge slot. ESQ-M is a rackmount version of the same synthesizer.
