Waldorf Blofeld (desktop version) is an affordable digital wavetable synthesizer originally released in 2007. The synthesis engine combines virtual analogue synthesis, wavetables and FM synthesis. There is also a separately priced sample license option, which enables uploading of custom samples to the wavetable.

The Blofeld is capable of 25 voices, optionally using 16-part multitimbral mode, which allows all MIDI channels to play a separate program. It has four control knobs which are assigned to different functions depending on the selected mode (e.g. cutoff and resonance in filter mode).
