Sequential Circuits Prophet-5

Description

The Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 is a polyphonic analog synthesizer released in 1978. It was the first fully programmable polyphonic synthesizer and was used by many famous musicians, including Michael Jackson, Prince, and Depeche Mode.

The Prophet-5 works by using analog oscillators to generate sound waves, which are then shaped and filtered by analog circuitry. It has five voices, each with its own oscillator, filter, and envelope generator. It also has a built-in arpeggiator and a polyphonic portamento feature. The Prophet-5 also has a number of modulation options, including pitch and filter modulation, and an onboard chorus effect.
