Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V

Description

The Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V is a digital synthesizer released in 1984 by the German company Waldorf Music. It was designed by Wolfgang Palm, the creator of the original PPG Wave synthesizers. The Wave 3.V is a hybrid synthesizer, combining digital wavetable synthesis with analog filters and envelopes. It is capable of producing a wide range of sounds, from classic analog-style leads and basses to complex digital textures. It has been used by a variety of artists, including Depeche Mode, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Vangelis.

The Wave 3.V has two oscillators, each with its own wavetable. The wavetables can be loaded with up to 128 different waveforms, allowing for a wide range of sounds. The oscillators can be modulated by an LFO, an envelope generator, and an external signal. The filter section includes two 12dB/octave low-pass filters, a high-pass filter, and a band-pass filter. The filter section can be modulated by an envelope generator and an external signal. The Wave 3.V also includes a chorus effect, a delay effect, and a reverb effect.
