Yamaha DX7

Description

Classic digital FM synthesizer made between 1983 and 1989. It has 16-voice monotimbral polyphony. Yamaha DX7 was the first digital synthesizer to reach commercial success. More than 200.000 DX7 devices were manufactured during the 1980s and it has been used in countless pop music songs. DX7 is a cheaper model of a product line that also included DX1, DX5, DX9, and the non-compatible DX100, DX11 and DX21.

The Yamaha TX7 is a desktop module version of the DX7 without a keyboard.
