E-mu

E-mu was a software synthesizer, audio interface, MIDI interface, and MIDI keyboard manufacturer founded in 1971. It pioneered in samplers, sample-based drum machines and low-cost digital sampling music workstations.

E-mu was acquired in 1993 by Creative and in 1998 combined with Ensoniq.
