The Yamaha GX-1 is a polyphonic analog synthesizer developed by Yamaha in the 1970s. It was the first polyphonic synthesizer to be released by Yamaha and was used by a variety of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Tangerine Dream, and Jean-Michel Jarre.
The GX-1 works by combining multiple analog oscillators to create complex sounds. It features two oscillators per voice, each with its own envelope generator and filter. It also has a built-in chorus effect and a polyphonic portamento. The GX-1 also features a built-in arpeggiator and a polyphonic sequencer.
