Korg Wavedrum Oriental

Korg Wavedrum Oriental is a digital percussion instrument designed to emulate the sounds of traditional Middle Eastern percussion instruments. It was developed by Korg in collaboration with percussionist and composer Trilok Gurtu. The instrument features a range of sounds from the Middle East, including tabla, darbuka, riq, and frame drums. It also has a range of effects, including reverb, delay, and chorus. The instrument is played by striking the drumhead with a mallet or hand, and the sound is generated by a combination of physical modeling and sample-based synthesis. The Wavedrum Oriental also features a built-in sequencer and a range of performance controls, allowing users to create complex rhythms and patterns.
