Roland Octapad II (Pad-80)

Description

The Roland Octapad II (Pad-80) is a MIDI percussion controller released by Roland in 1989. It is a drum pad controller that allows the user to trigger sounds from a variety of sources, including drum machines, synthesizers, and samplers. It features eight velocity-sensitive pads, and a variety of control knobs and buttons. It has been used by a variety of artists, including Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, and The Chemical Brothers.

The Octapad II works by sending MIDI signals to a connected device when the pads are struck. The user can assign different sounds to each pad, allowing them to create complex drum patterns and rhythms.
