The Roland SH-1000 Synthesizer is an analog monophonic synthesizer released by Roland in 1973. It was the first synthesizer produced by Roland and was used by many famous musicians, including Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, and Gary Numan.
The SH-1000 is a subtractive synthesizer, meaning it uses filters to subtract frequencies from a waveform to create a desired sound. It has two oscillators, one for the main sound and one for the sub-oscillator, as well as a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for modulation. It also has a noise generator, a ring modulator, and a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA). The SH-1000 also features a built-in spring reverb and a built-in chorus effect. It has a single envelope generator and a single low-pass filter. The SH-1000 also has a built-in arpeggiator and a portamento function.
